the ghosts of Christmas past

Well, I'm on a mission to start whittling away at the task of getting my own personal photos scrapbooked. It's quite the ego deflater to realize that you're no longer young, you're "vintage." My only saving grace is that I'm the youngest of my mother's children, so I'll always have an brother and sister who are a little longer in the tooth than I.
Here's my first page in what's going to be quite the stroll down memory lane.

elements used are as follows
Chelsea Parsons pp (twopeasinabucket)
Michelle Underwood vintage letters (twopeasinabucket)
Katie Pertiet Letterbox Holiday corners overlay, Posted Angels stamp, branch (designerdigitals)
Andrea Victoria journaling tag (designerdigitals)
Jessica Sprague kraft journaling tag
Debra Tope thrift shop frame

forcing myself out of blog retirement

Well, I'm back. 14 months seemed like such a nice round number to return after, much better than 13 right? I'm forcing myself back out of blog retirement and hopefully I won't take a 14 month siesta again or at least not in the near future. Face it, my mom misses my inadvertent fessing up to things that I did as a teen, that I thought she already knew about. She finds out so much on this blog.

Oh, and I did miss those who took the time to stop by and leave a bit of love tempered with the wit and sarcasm that I've come to love from my online friends. You know who you are. Hugs great gals!

So here I am blogging again, and I've decided to focus on digital scrapbooking much more than paper for the next year or two. I'm going to try and blog about it along the way. I really don't know why I stopped. It's not like I didn't have the spare time. I'll still be on Facebook, but Facebook really isn't all that fun for me. Yes, I enjoy visiting with everyone on Facebook, but that little teeny tiny box isn't really conducive to a lengthy conversation. I realize that this blog isn't either, well, at least not for anyone other than myself, but face it, I like to talk. I always have. Just ask my mother how many times I had to sit outside of my 6th grade classroom next to the ball box, for speaking out of turn in poor Mrs. Gilder's class. Oh, nothing like the good old days of Miller street elementary and being reprimanded by Mrs. Gilder!

So, on with the pony show. I know I've posted some of these before, but I'm going to show them all in one blog post to save whomever would like to see them some time. From this day forward, I promise to post only new bright and shiny LO's. Your welcome to take the time to look around and find others that I may have missed, but heaven knows what kind of dirt you'll find rummaging around here, but hey, if you happen to find the match to Will's left handed winter shooting glove, please feel free to drop it in the lost and found at the door. Thank you for your cooperation.

I started playing around with digital pages, while over at the once fabulous Creating Keepsakes message board in 2007. The digital girls over there were wonderful and oh so talented, and freely gave any and all the help and encouragement one needed, to take a stab at digital scrapbooking. I'm still learning, I dropped the ball for a year and paper scrapped, but I try and take a class here and there and have found that between the Two Peas education board and Jessica Sprague's classes, that the information is out there, one just needs to take the time to learn, practice and create.

Here are some of the pages that for some reason or another I love. (and was able to find quickly)
I'll have to come back and write up a list of the products used and credit whom ever designed the elements and paper, I'm sorry I didn't have that done beforehand. Have a wonderful day!
